2018 YEAR IN REVIEW

      SERVE

  • With our continued 7 year partnership with Howard University Cancer Center(HUCC), we served more than 400 family members during HUCC's Rosemary Williams MammoDay with our EPW B&B Program. We look forward to serving with HUCC in 2019 during this worthy event.

  • In August 2018, EPW awarded its 1st scholarship to the very 1st Toy Runner!

 

  • 2018’s EPW Pink Print Bus Tour - Stop #3 – The Pajama Party Edition - honored and celebrated 5 beautiful breast cancer survivors with an overnight retreat filled with awesome facilitators, food, fun and connection!

 

  • Our 6th annual EPW Oh What Fun Toy Run continued with our new partner, Target, where we dashed thru the store chasing 6 beautiful children who recently suffered a loss of their mom to cancer. We continued our morning in our 6thannual chat & chew with our breakfast partner IHOP!

 

     EDUCATE

  • In September 2018, EPW provided information to the Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Gamma Theta Chapter in support of their participation in a health fair hosted on the campus of Hampton University.

 

  • In October 2018, EPW partnered with the Gentlemen of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Beta Gamma Chapter in raising breast health awareness and honoring those lives who have been touched by breast cancer in their Trojan 5K breast cancer walk/run on the campus atVirginia State University.

 

  • In October 2018, EPW’s Taking it to the Top Program, provided breast education to the students at Bishop McNamara High School for the 3rd year in a row during their annual October Mustangs Go Pink event! As well as for the Oxon Hill Boys & Girls Club!

 

    CELEBRATE

  • We celebrated 3 honorees during our annual EPW Awards/Concert at Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club. Here’s to:
